Royal J

It’s hard to believe that my three months as a brand advocate for @JaisalmerGin is coming to a close! This has been my longest #sponsored partnership of the sort, and I’ve really enjoyed it— the gin is delicious and I’ve appreciated its versatility. So far I’ve made a martini-style drink, a couple of highballs, and a tropical/rice-inspired shaken drink. Today I bring another style: a gin sour, egg white/foam included.

I really love this drink because it has a lot of different tastes that play off each other with each sip. No one tastes wins out, but they don’t fight each other and the drink is not one-noted or “muddy” (which can definitely happen with a lot of different ingredients). This drink is earthy, fruity, tangy, smoky, reads as slightly tropical, and finishes with a slight kick of spice. The gin is a great backdrop for all of this and ties everything together just right.
