Wild Crown

This drink is my entry to @bestcocktails competition for a pink cocktail using @wildrootsspirits. I was previously sent a bottle of their amazing raspberry vodka (seriously, it’s unlike any other flavored vodka I’ve had)— so I had to join in the fun.

The build is gin sour riff, but instead of syrup I used a local elderflower liqueur that is quite lovely, with a noticeable citrus presence, and is also pink. To better highlight those deep citrus notes, I snuck in a little triple sec. The Peychaud’s added a bit more color and depth. If making at home, feel free to add in the raspberry vodka to the rest, but for the photo I attempted a float for contrast. The end result is a lovely mix of floral and fruity, balanced by the substantial citrus notes.

Recipe

Combine all but the vodka and shake with ice until frosty. Fine strain into glass, fill with #clearice cubes, float vodka, garnish with lemon peel crown and rosemary scepter. Cheers!!
