Fennel & Friends Tincture


Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12g fresh fennel fronds

  • 4g dried fennel seeds

  • 1 star anise

  • 1g dried dill

  • 45g high-proof neutral grain spirit (e.g. Everclear)

Take fennel seeds ad star anise and toast on medium-low heat on stovetop until fragrant. Allow to cool and then coarsely grind.

Combine all ingredients together and vacuum seal. Add to sous vide water bath 150°F for 1 hour. Remove bag and place in water bath until room temperature. Fine strain, then pass solution through coffee filter. Bottle and store.
