Heated Negotiations

[#ad]

I’m back for the fourth chapter of the @catanpisco and @settlersofcatan collaboration! If you’ve ever played the game, this is probably a familiar scene: you want to build a City, but your opponent is refusing to give you the resources you need (at a fair price, that is). Things get tense, even a little spicy. This drink is just the diplomatic juice the situation needs.

It’s a pisco sour (no egg white) that brings in the spicy notes from a quick jalapeño infusion (1/2 pepper diced with seeds/pith removed, 6-8 hours at room temp— go longer for more spice). Pair this with a bit of melon and cool things down with a some cucumber, and you’ve got a tasty sip— juicy, refreshing, vegetal, with a touch of spice.

Recipe

  • 1.75oz jalapeño-infused Catan pisco

  • 0.5oz melon liqueur

  • 0.5oz simple syrup

  • 0.75oz lime juice

  • 3 slices of cucumber

Muddle cucumber with simple syrup. Add remaining ingredients. Shake with ice until chilled, fine strain into coupe, garnish with cucumber. Cheers!!
